EDAMBA PRIVACY STATEMENT
The new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation – a legal framework
that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information of individuals
within the European Union (EU) – is in effect as of May 25, 2018. The GDPR is intended to
provide better protection for the EU citizen’s privacy and to lay down uniform rules so that
the citizen gains more control over how his/her personal data are used.
In view of the above, the European Doctoral Programmes Association in Management and
Business Administration (EDAMBA) has updated its privacy policy, which sets out how
EDAMBA uses and protects any information that individuals may provide when visiting its
website. EDAMBA is strongly committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.
Which data does EDAMBA collect?
The information that is collected will not knowingly be communicated or distributed to
unauthorised persons or organisations without your permission. The data in your profile will
be used exclusively by EDAMBA staff for administrative purposes only.
Why does EDAMBA collect this data?
EDAMBA uses the information provided for 3 main purposes:

The information provided is stored for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it
is collected and will be used for the purposes stated when the information is requested.
Personal information will not be sold to third parties or provided to any other organisation
without permission.
How can you control your data (correct, update or delete it)?
EDAMBA makes it possible for you to have control over your own personal information by
enabling & regularly reminding you to keep your personal profile up-to-date and correct.
Please be aware that if you submit a CV to appear on the Mobility Platform, this document
and its contents will soon be available and searchable on the Internet. EDAMBA cannot be
held responsible for any subsequent use or misuse of this information nor guarantee that the
information “trail” will disappear immediately upon removal of the CV.
